What You Need to Know Ahead of Accenture's Earnings Release

Dublin, Ireland-based Accenture plc (ACN) provides strategy and consulting, industry X, song, and technology and operation services in North America and internationally. With a market cap of $177.3 billion, the company offers systems integration and application management, security, intelligent platforms, infrastructure, software engineering, and more. ACN is expected to release its Q4 earnings on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Ahead of this release, analysts expect ACN to report an EPS of $2.97 per share, up 6.5% from a profit of $2.79 per share reported in the year-ago quarter. It has exceeded analysts' earnings estimates in three of the past four quarters, while missing on one occasion.

For fiscal 2025, analysts expect ACN to report an EPS of $12.87, up 7.7% from $11.95 in fiscal 2024. Moreover, in fiscal 2026, its EPS is expected to grow 6.1% year over year to $13.66.

ACN stock has declined 15.7% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLK22.1% surge and the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX17.1% uptick during the same time frame.

On Jul. 28, Accenture stock closed down more than 2% after HSBC initiated coverage on the stock with a recommendation of "Reduce" and a price target of $240. 

Moreover, analysts remain somewhat bullish about ACN stock’s future prospects, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Among 24 analysts covering the stock, 16 recommend a “Strong Buy,” one suggests a “Moderate Buy,” and seven advise a “Hold.” ACN’s mean price of $345.39 implies a premium of 24.7% from its prevailing price level.
